Alexander E. Storch, M.D.

Dr. Storch’s approach to patient care is comprehensive and collaborative with an ongoing emphasis on precision and refinement of care. The practice serves patients from all walks of life in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. Dr. Storch started in private practice in 2015 after residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn where he conceptualized, systematized, and implemented Resident Case Presentation Performance Improvement on the Acute Care Units.

Years ago, Dr. Storch worked and volunteered for various companies and organizations in the Tri-State area including for a number of years as a personal trainer at the Carlyle Hotel, while he completed Post-baccalaureate premedical sciences at the City University of New York – Hunter College.

Dr. Storch is married with two children and splits his time between New York and Florida.

Dr. Storch is a member of the American Professional Society of ADHD & Related Disorders and the American Psychiatric Association. Licensed & Registered to practice Medicine in the States of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology-Certified / Diplomate ABPN.

About The Practice

CONFIDENTIALITY: Patient information is always treated with resolute confidentiality, and in accordance with State and Federal privacy rules.

MODES OF TREATMENT: Dr. Storch utilizes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions in a practice focused on adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD); Anxiety & Depression; and Sleep Disorders.

INITIAL VISIT: We will thoroughly review and evaluate the history then discuss current symptoms and how to find relief, as well as formulate a treatment Plan. Blood tests (such as Vitamin D and iron levels), or other testing, may be recommended. Approximately 90-minutes time is required for a comprehensive psychiatric consultation. Follow-up visits may range in interval and duration, based on clinical assessment.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT: Dr. Storch provides psychopharmacology services to new and established patients.

PSYCHOTHERAPY: a good psychotherapeutic alliance can accelerate immediate improvements, and perhaps more importantly increase your capabilities to navigate the complexities and stressors of modern life. Psychotherapies practiced today come from a wide range of schools but essential ingredients are two: trust and understanding.  High fidelity communication. PAYMENT and INSURANCE COMPANIES: Dr. Storch does not currently participate on any insurance panels and is not enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid.
